EE - Stuff to learn (during Freetime)
Preamble: This should be a list of topics you can learn in general (and as long this isEngineeringStudentsyou may not learn in courses as well). Have a look what might fits you, what can be a benefit for you in future and what sounds fun. This list will never be 100% correct, there will be stuff missing and maybe some things change over time (also a lot of typos and bad grammar, I'm sorry). But withyourhelp we may create a list with interessting and helpful topics. Yes this post was made around half a year ago, but is usefull in my opinion and would be to sad to be lost in the archive. Hello everyone, I noticed a couple of posts in the last weeks where people are looking for stuff to learn, but are not sure what. So I want to make a small list of EE-stuff what I recommend, beside most standard stuff (like Calc I, Ohms law etc.). I have no clue about other engineering fields (I'm into automation & robotic), but maybe YOUcan help out for your engineering field, but please in another topic, not here*!* (but will be linked, if you post them in the comments) One general advice, if you know where you want to work in future, you shall not wear blinkers and concentrate just on stuff of your field. Take a look outside the box and try to learn some stuff. You don't have to be a master on all fields, but be able to know what other engineers are talking about. Short notice: I try to list mostly free or open-source stuff, because some of us haven't got a student-licence (and/or the money), but I also know that you can't beat some commercial products so far. General Stuff:
LaTex (and Addons you may want to use) - I know a lot of people are stucking on Work/OpenOffice/LibreOffice and similar programms. It is intuitive to deal with it, but if you are not an advanced/expert in Word and writing your thesis you may go nuts like I went. With LaTex you are "programming" your thesis. Sounds creepy, but it looks so good (and much better than Word-Stuff) . Have a look, because many professional papers are made with it. You may get help at LaTeX.
Programming languages:
Assembler - You want to programm stuff realy fast and want to be one with your embedded system? Than you have to learn assembler, the language every other programming language is speaking in the end. It depends on the microprocessor you are using, because they have different command lines. Try to deal with a RISC (PICxxx family) and a CISC processor (8086) and you will have a feeling how to deal with them. (Example Tutorial)
C - maybe you learned it already, maybe not. C is one of the fastes functional procedural, structured languages every made. Many microcontroller boards deal with it and is mostly used in embedded systems. You will have great power to do anything, but also great responsibility. It is easy to learn the basic stuff, but more complex when you want to do advanced stuff. Reddits: C_Programming Try the IDE Qt for such stuff, because it is packed full of good stuff and is free to use (afaik). Also you can programm in ...
C++ - as well in Qt. C++ is the bigger brother of C. Mostly the same blood is flooding along the code lines, but is a little bit different. C++ supports object-orientaded programming (OOP), what C can't do (so easily). If you can deal with C, it is maybe the best entrance in the OOP-World. It is used for operating systems, virtuall machines, embedded systems as well and some more. When you can deal with C++, you may be able to deal with Java(what I don't like, but different reasons) as well. Have a look on the actual new standard C++20! Reddit: cpp
Python 3 (yes there is Python 2 as well, but ...) - the most famous interpreter language in our time at the moment. It works different than C/++, but you will find much similarities. There are tons of tutorials out there. You can use python for big data-stuff, image processing, robotics, gaming, sensor stuff and many more things. Tons of packages are free to use for your project, if you download it you get a ligthweight IDE IDLE as well and is very dynamic. If you can deal the cons (it runs until errors appear and other stuff), it can be a good friend. If you have some experiences with IDEs and want to make bigger private projects I recommened PyCharm, because you will learn to programm in the PEP8 standard (rules how to write good code in Python) and have plenty of tools for your pure Python code. Matlab (free alternatives: Scilab/GNU Octave) - normally I would not support it, because a licence is expensive (even for unis and companies). But it is still used by many Profs., so you have to deal with it anyway. Matlab is "a giant calculator-interpreter-programming language". When you have matching packages it can be a good friend for image processing, controlling, robotics, math problems, numeric and many more (some of us may heared about Simulink and Stateflow which is based on Matlab). So it is a powerfull tool, but expensive. Maybe try Scilab or Octave as well (maybe not so powerfull, but usefull). Reddit: matlab
R - When you have to deal with stochastic stuff, data mining and big data stuff. Sometimes this language can be pretty handy, because it is specialised for this use case. Reddit: Rlanguage
Rust - An upcoming language, which promise to be safer than C, by great performance and slim in it's size. What you can do with it? Well theyself say nearly everything. It is more complex in the beginning, but if you are able to tame it, it may be a powerfull weapon. Learn Material- Reddit: rust
Electronic stuff:
Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) - I'm an automation guy and EMC is Voodo for me. But it is one of the core competences you need to design circuits. How do you have to design your board, that obscure phenomenons won't happen (signals that shouldn't be there). What is this stuff and what weapons exists to fight these ghosts! :^)
VHDL and Verilog - There are three kingdoms of integrated ciruits (IC): Microcontrollers, FPGAs and ASICs. VHDL and Verilog are from FPGA land and very popular. FPGA is "hardware programming". But this is where my knowledge ends to be honest.
fritzing- Programm to create nice looking pictures with breadboards, motors, arduinos ... , circuit layouts and making your printed boards. Easy to use and for beginners helpful.
EAGLE - fritzing is for beginners and you want to be more professional in designing circuit diagramms? Then you may use EAGLE. I'm not sure what kind of licences exist at the moment, because it was bougth by Autodesk come years ago? But I think there is still a small free version for everyone and maybe a special license for students (but I'm not sure!). A good open source alternative is KiCAD.
Applied Mechanics - wait you will say, you are EE and tell me to learn ME stuff for circuit boards? Yes! Because your circuit boards may have to deal the toughest conditions. Dropping your smartphone, vibrating plates, bending...it happens to your board as well. So learn to deal with it.
LTSpice - simulating circuits with a high parameter variety (like termic noise etc) [thx CaulkParty ]
Altium for PCB-design, seems to be one of the mostly used in industry
Automation &Robotic:
Language standards for PLC - There are plenty of sellers of PLC stuff. Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi and many more. Depending where you are living there is a "trend" to a company. When you have the money and/or possibility to work with it, do it. I don't know if there is a cheap one out there, but maybe YOU can help us out.
Applied Mechanics - A robot is not just DH-Parameters and cables alone. It is good to know what your robot can lift, what forces and torques exist while your robots tries to throw a 90kg stone 300m far...while driving on a truck ... taped on a ladder...while the truck is driving around a sharp corner up the hill (ME students may laugh or cry here as well).
Linux - Sooner or later you may be confronted with Linux. A free operating system, which is not like Windows or this thing with the fruit. It is used so many times, especially in the embedded field. It is not easy to get into it at the beginning, but an easy start is with Raspbian(and a Raspberry Pi, because it's optimised for that) or for Notebooks/PCs Ubuntu. There are plenty of distributions and you have to find your favourite one (I was distro hopping a couple of times).
Quaternion - when you are dealing with robotic the first time, you know the singularity problems. Not with Quaternions. If you know how to work with them, you will be a step ahead of other people.
Safety - A point I missed in my courses. How do I design a robot cell? Where does an emergency stop has to be? What is SIL? And when do I have to deal with a risk (there will never be 100% safety in a process).
Security - Like Safety I missed this in my courses as well. In a time where digitalisation is everywhere. From mobile apps, killer USBs, ransoftware, snake oils, 5G, GPG etc. How can I be sure that my data was not manipulated? How can I protect my system against introuders? Why has data securety to be such a thing? And when is it usefull?
CAE/CAD ( computer-aided engineering/design) - Sometimes you should be able to read a technical drawing and how you can design your own prototype. Especially while 3D-Printers are on the rise in the industry. Poorly I don't have a clue about good&free software in this case. =/ Otherwise SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor is the most used software in this topic afaik and Studentlicences exist. This is not about mechanical constructions only, sometimes even electrical construction or simulations. Reddits: SolidWorks, AutodeskInventor
Hydraulic & pneumatic - Another topic from ME. If you know the basics as EE it is good enough (reading hydraulic and pneumatic plans, how do valves (and the sensoric) work, what are basic components in such systems, math of pressure etc. ...). [WANTED: GOOD PAGES FROM ME PEOPLE TO ADD AS LINK HERE)
computer networking - There will be much more technology working via networks. So you should know something about switches, routers, IP-Networks (especially IPv6), TCP/UDP (, fieldbus systems). It's not so popular in "classic" EE, but I think this will be a big deal in future anyway.
ROS and Industrial ROS - an open-source framework for robotic. It is good for fun stuff and to learn a bit around robotic, but in case of expensive constructs or safety stuff not reliable! Reddit: ROS
MPLab X IDE - IDE to simulate and programm microcontrollers. (thx UnDeaD_AmP )
Information - and communications technology:
Wireshark - paket analyser for network stuff. Can be usefull for automation as well (field bus). Reddit: wireshark
GNU Radio - (thx to CaulkParty): Capturing and demodulating real-time radio transmissions, Real-time signal capturing of cellphone transmission packets fed to Wireshark, Simulation of a radio and more.

Power Electronic/Electric:
Powerworld - used to simulate large power systems, old legacy software that's used all the time in industry
AutoCAD Electrical - See CAE/CAD
Batteries - LiPo, NiCd, LiFo etc. What is important to know, why you should have a safe charge place, fireressistant covers when you build your own charging electronic and more.
Renewable Energy - wind, solar, hydro and more. How they work, how to regulate them and if such a gadget would be good enough for the next hiking/camping trip
Learn about transformers, 3 phase power, know what a duck curve is and why it could be bad
Craftmanship (can be tricky, because you may not get the tools and somebody with experience for that)
Minecraft <--basic
soldering - because it is everywhere and breadboards are not made for eternity
drilling (sounds easy but you may should know some stuff)
making your own circuit board from scratch ( Never done it before? Be extra carful in case you want to deal with acid! Better grab somebody who can help you out with that!)
Softskills: Yes I can see some of you are rolling with their eyes and thinking "serious"? And you are right! And wrong! Don't underestimate Softskills. Having lectures about that stuff is sometimes pretty boring, but you won't believe what people are out there not being able to handle stuff. Neither Time management, not social skills to deal with conflicts and so on. Some people don't even know that they are missing this kind of skill set. Be honest to yourself and get at least a basic set. It is difficult to teach suc things for yourself and some techniques won't work, but others will (I manage my projects in another way than my workmates do). [Sources are welcome, because this field is huge. I will just describe stuff I know/recommened/warn about ...]
Time Management - Scheduling the week, an event, your life and more. Are you using your smart phone caleneder? A Notebook? How to know where to start with your pool of tasks? There are many ways how to handle stuff.
Conflict solving skills - My old Prof worked in a company before and he told us that 50% of his time was solving conflicts between people and 50% doing engineer stuff. Many conflicts are based on a misunderstanding, excalating over time and explode by a tiny spark. You need to moderate these conflicts which measn. Make rules (no bad words, don't get loud, we don't talk when the other one is talking), be neutral and don't take position, try to find the root of the evil, ask questions so the others have to answer and make breaks when needed ... and sometimes you even have to know a point where you have to say "Fuck it, you don't want a solution, deal with your own stuff".
Presentation Skills/Debate Skills - You know this one prof who is writing in a cryptic wingdings font in size 4, while mumbeling stuff with the blackboard to explain stuff and you are sitting in the other corner of the room, running your AI skills to understand stuff. Or the other one who is using yellow letters on white background and wondering, that you can't see them via beamer, but on the PC it was so clear. Don't be that type as well! Speak loud and clear, ask if every one can here you, make rules at the start like "Questions after the presentation please", check your presentation location, make tests if everything works, choose a good medium (free talk, powerpoint like things, placards, >> practical stuff if possible << (alsways good)), make the presentation for the target audience you expect, improvise if needed etc. Talk in front of a honest test audience, know how to built up your presentation (mine is Intro, definition, history, basics, topic, meta stuff/future, end statement). Know the fouls of a conversation and try to find a good way handeling them. It is important to stand against others in a discussion as well.
Project Management skills - The father of many softskills: Waterfall model, Kanban, V-Modell, time management, importants of tasks, how big is your team, handling budget, risk management, RISK MANAGEMENT (doubled, because especially as engineer it should be on your skill list or know what to do), teamwork and more.

Breng dit aub weer terug :) het is te overdreven dat je zo lang moet wachten totdat je weer kan schieten. Nog een ding is dat er meer dan 300 man op de server kunnen en de wapen handel ligt te stil. Het is moeilijk om aan wapens te komen en voor crimineel organisaties zelf ook.. 1 ak-47 per week? 3 pistolen per week? Mag in mijn ogen wel hoger omdat er meer spelers zijn.

In this great challenge to our current historical narrative, author and narrator, Francis Richard Conolly (website), uses a large amount of evidence to show that many of the worst events in the 20th century were caused by a linked group of powerful people. Part 1 of the documentary JFK to 9/11: Everything is a Rich Man’s Trick (youtube) is summarized below with links to many to his claims and the people he mentions. In this part of the documentary, I will explore the events transpiring from the late 19th century to the end of WWII. I think Conolly is truly one of the great conspiracy theorists of the 20th century, and unlike other great theorists such as Bill Cooper or Eustace Mullins, he made his greatest work a documentary. I love this documentary because he includes so many details. The devil is in the details, and as he shows, the devil is very much alive. Notes:
I will ignore the introduction and instead start at 5 minutes in, at the historical beginning to his work, prior to WWI.
I will continue in historical order throughout this summary. Sometimes he goes back to things or jump ahead; these have been added to their appropriate historical section.
I will not go into anything other than what he says about any subject because I don’t want to confuse anyone about what he said vs. what I think. All you will find is what he said and if I was able to back up his claim.
Whenever I say he “claims” something, I mean that I wasn’t able to find a document or website that validated his claims. Where his claims go against what Wikipedia/websites say, I note this.

The plan as outlined to me was to form an organization of veterans to use as a bluff or a club at least to intimidate the government and break down our democratic institutions. The upshot of the whole thing was that I was supposed to lead an organization of 500,000 men which would be able to take over the functions of government. My main interest in all this is to preserve our democratic institutions. I want to retain the right to vote and the right to speak freely and the right to write. If we maintain these basic principles our democracy is safe. No dictatorship can exist with suffrage, freedom of speech and press.”
This put FDR into a difficult position because the US was just coming out of the Great Depression
If he threw all of the industrialists and bankers in jail, country might slip back into Depression
FDR ended up not prosecuting any of the conspirators, despite them committing treason

Chapter one Keeping things clean Cases file of private detective :Ellius Wilson Gaze First case entry: A tale in the lamplight. They called her Old Smokey. A woman so rough you'd have to be crazy not to follow her rules. I had always lived my life on the wild side of the tracks. So disobeying some old land lady's rules in the grand scale of things was a risk I didn't mind taking as long as I could drown my sorrows at the bottom of a whisky glass In my favorite drinking hole in the heart of the city. The land lady’s voice bellowed at me down the corridor. “Curfew is twelve dammit and you come rolling in here drunk out of your stinking mind in the early hours of the morning.” The landlady’s voice shook me from my drunken haze it was the tone of a familiar foe. Her lips snarled like a territorial hound who had been up all night guarding the last remnants of a chewed up bone gnawed down to the marrow. Her teeth were like those of an animal which sharpened with every chew it took to satisfy its hunger. The same mouth, which I determined at the time was decaying from deliberate abuse of a self inflicted nature. Both psychical on the account of her regular fifty a day smoking habit and consumption of some of the worse liquor to ever hit the barrel. Liquor that held up to gasoline would not have looked out of place at a rally show of old rusted up engines and the intoxicating smell of fumes that accompanied every dirt track race. Races that made rich men richer and poor men drivers of the wheel. Like the wheel of each car there hands, bodies and entire existence were bread solely to turn the cogs of crime that filed a dying city of greed chaos and corruption. But there were only so many bends that crooked racetrack could Handel before serious accidents closed down every path forever. The drivers got sick of risking their lives in a city that didn't value their survival in the slightest. My mind spun in a drunken loop as I began to once more study old Smokey’ s expressions on that night. As my eyes started to take in her features I began to look deep into her hollow, tired, worn out eyes that had been absorbed away from a life of far too much risk taking with very little reward at the end. I saw The horrors that had befallen her and how they took up residency on her face. A face that was etched with pain for the whole world to view. A woman who had so much to carry but not the wisdom to lighten her load. As I looked more and more at her though the crumbling remains that faced me I saw her second degree of decay. This one much more deadly and taken root in depression, fear and anxiety. Of the troubled crippled Mind that never was content with the answers it had been given. I knew this feeling all to well. As my own mind was never ending when it came to answer searching. My synapses never slowed down never switched off and for far to long I had been working overtime clocking in too many hours in the body clock of life. I recognised The psychological decay of a woman who had reached her limit and given up on life and who like all those that faced this road was not content to go down into the depth of darkness by herself. So instead she yearned and struggled against the light. Clawing to take everyone with her. I looked hard at my skin I could almost see the invisible fingernails of the amount of times she had attempted to pull me under. Her emotions took the form of A leech that sort to suck and drain the life of every soul she ever encountered. Leaving them as frail, broken and bitter as the frame she carried around with her from each day to the next. As if every syllable that spat out of her yellow rotten teeth had burnt their way out, leaving an invisible yet to me all so visible trail of corrosion. Here's the kicker this foul creature of life's torments actually liked me. She got me. She got me so well that it was painful to admit. It was as if she had already lived everyday I had and that no matter what life it threw at me she had had worse. But I could almost guarantee that all of that was about to change even for a guy whose whole existence was sealed in the mysteries to which I was often hired to solve back then. She could see far too many of my buried bones that I kept locked away from the garish light of day, but there were bones that she had yet to view. Bones that after years of anger had Harden’d into an abnormal creation that faced every wall or obstacle in life and proceeded to smash right trough each and everyone no matter the state of my bones afterwards. But Why? Oh Why did she like me? Well, that much to me was simple. As much as it saddened me to admit. Me and the old girl were the same. I too had given up on ever holding on to anything deer and precious in this god forsaken world. I too had gushed obscenities like they were going out of fashion, but I had refused to to wear what everyone else was wearing. I too had a fuel that drove me much like those crooked motor cars. and that fuel was no other than blind rage and Hatred, and it was the best dam tool a half decent human being could have in a dump of a place they called sunshine city. It was a forgotten city, and I couldn't help but think that if it burnt to a cinder it would serve more of a purpose as fertilizer than as a living breathing community. In short, it was a perfect heaven for the filth that called its streets home. At the time I believed that there wasn't much difference between me and the city in which I strained in each day to try and prove that deep down under all the fakery I presented to the world we were both beyond salvation. Yes, I had convinced myself that I had to be Nasty to keep my edge to stay alive as long as I had to until my vendetta had come to an end. Until revenge was the taste in my mouth and not cheap booze. I thought at this time that hatred was my key to survive such a place, but I would soon find out that to heal this city would take a far greater fuel than the one I was carrying inside me at the time. As for me. The infamous detective Ellius Gaze well, let’s just say I've been rolling around now in the sewers and the Gutters of the city for so long that I now smelled just as bad as the people they paid me to dispose of. Yes, I am a detective, but it was hard to justify calling yourself that or ragging about how good you are at your job. when every time in this city I stuck my nose in the air I smelled that same evil that clung to every street corner on the collar of my favorite Mackintosh. But back to that night in the guesthouse. Although drunk out of my mind that night. I turned to reply to the hatred that had been sent towards me. “I know when the curfew time is I just don't follow it.” I slamed the guest house door as hard as I could in my drunken yet driven state. I no longer cared about waking the owners of each room in that place that den of scum and layabouts. Its every floor covered with another whineno and junkie, and seeing that at the time I was forced into having a conversation I did not feel in any shape or form having. I wasn’t going to hold back my temper this time as I prepared to reply yet again. My head, which was now spinning as much as the room in which I stood or rather leaned against to find my bearings to the beat up phone table at the base of the stairs. The spinning had come at the aftermath of a assault I had just got back from. An assault that was by my own hand that had reached out for the whisky bottle to numb the pain one to many times. I shrugged my shoulders as I stumbled in to the phone table. And I watched the phone fall from the receiver whic created a brain splitting crack that my head was not prepared for. I was gonna pay for that in the next morning as the ring just refused to leave my brain. The table covered in dust was hardly ever used at the bottom of the guest house stairs that in my state of mind might as well have been a mountain I was about to ascend. It certainly was as unstable as hiking up the crumbling tower of rock which for the life of me I never understood why someone would even want to do that Life has enough mountains to climb without going looking for them. Every night the climb got harder and my legs felt heavier I knew one day I would have to resort to crawling but thankfully that wasn't to be the case on this night . I Fixed my gaze on Smokey . Pun intended by the way. Yes that’s right I know your reading my files well take a good look Pay attention to the details and you just might learn somthing. But back to that night and my bust up with the land lady. I opened my mouth for yet another mistake in line with the whisky that had been poured welcomely down my throat and lay against my tongue.“ Tell me why dose a place everyone wants to leave have a curfew? I smiled to myself, I felt proud at my fumbled insult. But this old dog could bite a lot harder than she looked as she snapped back her comeback with more precision than I was currently equipped to handle at the time. “Why dose a detective who couldn't find his own reflection still stick around in a city nobody wants him in? “Her words hit home harder than the drink. Why was I still here? What was making me keep going? It was like my feet were no longer my own. As if I had been scooped me up like a babe in arms and brought to the same path over and over again. But why and more importantly, how long could I keep fighting this force which was invading my soul? A force that was relentless as it came to turn my heart of stone into one of blood and flesh. I decided to hide from it and also from the power of Smoky’s insult. I buried it deep and smiled that smile that in times like this was like a best friend that took the rap for all my foolish mistakes. I had to smile for a beat up woman she sure could punch real low when she wanted. Trouble was I could always punch lower. “You know if I made a call on this stinking phone table of yours I could have this whole place trashed. “In the eyes of the lawless I could give you a nice long curfew.” So why didn’t she just threaten to ring the police on me. I’ll tell ya why. There was no police I was the closest thing to law and order and I was as crooked as my own spine after a night sleeping on bins in an old ally way. But I had people. Contacts if you will. Alright scum. The ones I would never call on but just the fact that I could scared even her. Her response to defeat was always the same. Threats. She began to shake and repress the urge of swinging for me. See Smokey wasn't a slapping kind of girl she was a bare knuckle fighter that could go ten rounds with anyone if the temper was erupted strong enough to power every punch. But even drunk she knew when she was outmatched and also she was smart enough to know that any hiding I got that night I wouldn't even be remembering the next morning. Both of us content with our barking and show of authority I decided to call it a night and turned to climb the mountain. As I turned to mount the staircase I heard a door slam with the echo of the tone of a dear old friend who loved to hate me “you better sleep with one eye open you drunk.”Little did she know I always did. You see, in my line of work a good night's sleep was a rare as a monkey that didnt like bananas and just like those discarded banana skins there was always someone waiting in the dark for me to slip up. I continued the drunken routine of every night the leaning staircase shuffle accompanied by my sweaty fingers digging into my trouser pocket in search of the rusted, bent and twisted key which after every new day was starting to look more and more like me. Twisted as a result of my drunken attempts to enter rooms that at the time I swear blind are mine. And after I forced my way in I quickly discovered that it was not my room as the owner tossed me through the door backwards for me to try door number two in my search for a place to lay my head and sleep off another night of testing my liver to its maximum capacity. I assaulted my liver with the worse alcohol on the market and soon I was gonna push it to far. I shook this future pain from my thoughts as I reached my door. I prepare myself to approach the lock and insert the key. Finally after the useless seven failed attempts to insert the key into the broken lock, which Jams more times than a cheap revolver that you could pick up from the east side back door ally's. The fire pins always removed so they could charge extra for them was the normal con. Forgive me dear reader, I'm rambling anyway, back to the door. I Turned the key and begin thinking of how nice that old pillow was gonna feel. I hear the click of the old office door that my room had now become the initials of P.D faintly scraped into the door as it swung open to reveal the familiar aroma of must alcohol and cigarette smoke. The place wasn't much to look at but it was mine, which made it to me priceless. As any space in this city was so expensive sharing was usually the only viable option. In a city this corrupted people were one thing you wanted to avoid at all cost. Even if it meant sleeping in the streets or the gutters. I had a place and it would be more than just a room to put my drunk enough head down for the night. It would become a tool a vital weapon that would bring an advantage I couldn't live without. Stumbling in I turned towards the light switch and clicked it on in a clumsily ape like fashion. I never slept in the dark.I was drunk not stupid, why you ask? Simple, shadows. In the dark there are none, killers can hide and lurk, blend into darkness that consumes their crimes. You see in the lamp light is that creeping demonic apparition of a shadow. A five second warning for me to wake up and turn out their lights so to say. You see we all cast shadows in life and the people I dealt with, well, let's just say there shadows are a lot longer than most people's. Criminals hate the light it shows them up for what they really are. Dark reflections, of their past, a past I now read like a book lying in bed with one eye open. It takes a few slurry attempts but suddenly the slumber takes me and I realised I was No longer conscious. I slept but not for long as the nightmares crept into my mind. As every mistake I have ever made became as fresh as the moment in which it had just happened. I imagined myself running and running, but there's was no escape the shadows were coming and they wanted my soul. They wanted every piece of me to drag me down to hell and never let me go. I fought them off and pushed back towards the light and forced myself awake. As I sat bolt upright I rubbed the sweat from my dripping mask of a face. There was never an escape for me, I was caught in limbo and soon there would be no more running. Soon I would have to choose a side. Morning came it always did when you didnt want it to. The lamp still glowed against the daylight as I leaned over the mattress to click it off. Its job was done for another night. Rising I unscrewed the bulb and place in a brand new one. Can't take any chances at night and in the long run it Was a small price to pay to stay alive and keep peace of mind. Now for the hard part the morning mirror. It's cracked form tormented me from my slumber. I dressed in the uniform that gets me through each day. The battered suit with a wrinkled tie that matched my premature ageing features. A wrinkle that told a thousand stories and only half of them were true. The shirt was never white at least not to me. Even new it was stained the moment it made contact with my skin. The year at that time ever was 2051 but you'd never know it from my surroundings. the room was frozen in time along with me. No technology or home comforts. no material possessions. They only got in the way, clouded my mind and my soul made my job even harder to do. Next I steped in to a scuffed up Pair of shoes that quite frankly wouldn't have looked out of place on a tramps foot begging for coins from passers by with not one Good Samaritan to lend even a whole lace or a stitch to the soul. I had some strange thoughts that morning. I strated to think of the many lonely souls I had seen over the last few weeks the very essence of mercy as their outstretched hands clammed for every cent they could get. How there fingers would grasp so tightly to every offering not out of greed. But the fact that to them each offering reminded them that humanity was not completely lost. That deep down in its core people still cared. that people Still wanted to reach out. But hands as far as I could see back then remained in pockets. A brisk March of ignorance And the bodies continued to just lie there and rot. As I dressed I tried to make the most of every stitch I owned. I knew that out there a coat could be the difference between waking up the next morning and not. I stared into my wardrobe, and I saw that the door was now hanging off its hinges. My furniture was probably the only thing that was in a worse state than me Back then. I had no intention of ever getting it fixed up. But then I never thought in my wildest dream that I would ever fix anything. In due time my thoughts would be tested in the very streets to which I despised. I had owned these cloths for so long and I made sure I got every ounce of wear out of them. Clinging to each item that touched my skin. It was as if in doing so they had signed a contract That bonded them to my flesh. Making the suit and the man into one flesh. One goal. and one never ending day. A day I forced myself to relive over and over again until I could turn back the hands of time and make everything right. But as I looked in to that cracked mirror, I knew there was an item missing. a item that again had become an extension of my very essence in this world. An item that topped off the complicated man who walked in my shoes straight into the heart of darkness. I reached up to the top cabinet in the room. The hat was always the last part almost ritual like a mask of a better time in life A simpler time. The trilby landed with a weight of dignity and righteousness. It was wildly out of taste in the modern world and that was why it fit me so well. I didn't want to fit in. I wanted to stay out. Away from the evil so that I could meditate on it and learn how to best it at every opportunity. I was obsessed. A man on a mission that dominated my every sane thought and pushed me further to the edge of the big cliff of insanity. A little bit more of the raging storm and I would be falling. Falling into a pit I might never climb out of. A pit that would claim every speck of decency I had left contained in my husk of a shell. But I still had to put effort into my appearance. I couldn't get the answers I needed running around looking like a Neanderthal. I had to push myself to keep going. To keep up the appearances of a normal, sane man Whether that was the case or not. I pulled out my cut throat razor from the back pocket of my suit trousers I unclipped the blade in the cracked mirror. As I began to shave away the scars. That’s when I took a long a hard look at my face. How to describe my face to you. I guess you could call it handsome, Rugged even. Hard I've heard them say. Only one person's opinion at that time mattered to me and that person I had lost long ago, but that's another story. A story of a different man whose heart beat warm blood and not the cold liquid that was coursing throughout my veins as each stroke of the razor sharppenned my inner hatred towards the world that wronged me and the men and woman who turned my blood cold. Oh and when I said I lost her I mean lost. Rumor has it she was working undercover for the dirtiest mobster in the city. They said she was living in the the hotel that wasn’t even a hotel. you see The hotel im talking about has had many crooked owners and at that time it’s new owner was the worst it had ever been associated with Mr Soap Box. For years he was the dirtiest crime boss in sunshine city. Who, like most evil hid behind a persona of cleaning up the city. If you want to know how he got his name, just take a look at the amount of bathtubs that were turning up with dead bodies inside. The Botched job coffins with the same trademark calling card of bars of soap logged in the mouth with the inscription they said something naughty on each bar. The actions of this lunatic told me a lot about the kind of man I was dealing with. This would be like nothing I have ever faced before. Something that was birthed from the dark corners of society An evil that existed just to be evil. A man that ruled by fear. Yet the fear was well earned as nothing was off the table when it came to demonstrating his method of ruling over the masses and the lengths he was always prepared to go to to keep the chains of all his captives right where he liked Them. Right there in the grip of his vice like hands. I knew back then that no matter how many chains they held on to It would never feel like enough. He had to own as many people as possible. Have them dancing at a snap of his fingers. All I had ever seen in that hole of a city was the slaves bowing down begging on the bloody sore and worn out knees to their master. A master who held the whip and at a matter of seconds he would turn that whip on anyone if it meant making his whipping arm even stronger. His captives lost their confidents as there Brakes began to show in their sprit which as a result Putt a stop to any revolution that might have risen up to challenge his rule. I was a man unchained. A man who could never be controlled. Could never yield no matter how strong the lashes fell upon my back. Mr Soap Box would have to kill me before my knee would ever bend to his will. This city had hope as long as I chose death over servitude. But when it comes to getting him away from the throne, he ruled from at the box hotel an answer was yet to be revealed. The answer I strongly knew would come one day and I belivied it was now combing closer than ever. Of course, his fingerprints were clean at every one of his crime scenes Back then. He would blame all the deaths on his loyal followers of his campaign to clean up the city. Collateral damage in his quest for utopia. But I know different I know more than most do. After running into one of these so called followers I found them to be expert fighters trained for deadly combat. I also found that each member had their braces and designer belts made at the same place. Geovanies. Ah Geovanies. A Taylor that had custom made all the best outfits that paraded the streets to show their importance of their owner. A place I discovered had been under protection by a firm linked directly to Mr Soap Box his helpers he affectionately called his Clean Up Crew . They looked just like Wealthy businessmen but the reality Was they were nothing more than hired killers with dozens of convictions between them dressed to fool the blind and the thous who just didnt want to look. Mr Soap boxes biggest problem back then was me. I loved to look where others would not dare to look back then. So I started by going after The Clean Up Crew. Were they business men. Or were they bailed out convicts. The answer was they were all one and the same. killers hiding in plain sight. Mr Soap Box was playing a very dangerous game. Theses weren’t followers. These men were taking orders. These men were connected and worse of all these men enjoy it. The clean up crew were nothing more than stinking hit men in fancy threads I knew it. They knew it! But there's was no proof. As Geovanies mysteriously burnt down under new management. They must have known I was getting close to tying them all together in one neat little package and so they burnt the strings and left just the wrappings behind. Unfortunately for them, they were forgetting one vital thing. When you worked the way I did back then. On instinct, you did not need proof. My floor began to shake as old Smokey dug her broom into the ceiling from the room below. My wake up call and a sign I had a visitor. My heart Turned to stone as the same fear would grip me again. leaving me with that same haunting thought. dont be her. “You got a client”. Smokeys voice ripped through the floorboards with a bark of authority. I answered back whit the same tone “ send em up and check em.” I paused for a second tilted my head and awatied for what I knew was coming as I mouthed along to her reply “I ain't your secretary” taking a page from smokys book I bit back through the floor “just do it.” The silence told me she had listened and that with that Last command the case was well and truly opened. The old lady Smokey, who I guess I can now tell you what her real name Was. Ruth Madson Began what I had come to call the checking in process. I designed it myself and it went a little bit like this. First the client would be greeted. An offer of refreshment to calm the nerves and prepare their stories for my awaiting ears. Next, and this part was a lot safer than then tea and biscuits. A loaded gun would be placed into the pit of the clients' stomach where they Would be shown to a downstairs closet. Ruth would then command them to “walk into the closet” keeping a steady aim at the lower rib cage with the nozzle of the handgun. It is at this time that a scanning noise would be heard of a built in magnet chamber in the closet, It was very simple if they were clean they could come out of the closet. If they Were packing heat of any kind or adding protection they got a second belly button courtesy of Ruth. Not enough to kill. But enough to debilitate for a swift arrest. The buzzing of the magnets came to a close as the gravely voice of Ruth screeched up towards me.“Clean.” Adjusting my tie in the mirror I called down my next order.“Send em up.” I heard each foot fall on the staircase my first repose To their sound was. Here comes the lies. First rule I will teach you is clients lie. They have to. But if I was lucky they would always tell me what I need to know by what they did not tell me. I cradled my head in my arms and creaked my neck as I wispered to myself.“Showtime.” As I harnessed the hand gun that had saved me from every case that had ever gone wrong. The hand gun my clients had nick named the Mistake Maker. I lit a match against the darken room as I drew my curtains closed to await my guest. Placing a fresh cigarette in my mouth the flame of the match went out as the door slid open.“ That same dreaded thought entered my mind once more and terrified me to my core. Don't be her. I for one had a lot of concern about how much money i need to spend in order to get it Balanced. BUt as it turns out, about 50€ in Addition to the Camera, Lense and Ronin. The Problem(s)As we all know, the BMPCC is a thicc boi. Meaning, you cannot just slide the Camera on the Ronin in the right way. You need to dismount the Lense (if it is a big and long one) and slide it in from the back. But the Problems dont end there, Balancing the Tilt Axis is, interessting but doable. Balancing the Pan Axis is pretty easy. But most if not all BMPCC users have faced the Problem that the Roll Axis cannot be Balanced as the Camera is heavyer on one side then the other and because it is so wide, it cannot be Balanced. Even the best job will still be off Balance. But There is a work around. The Roll Axis has 2 Points where you can Manipulate the Balance. But it makes all the difference. In Theory, you dont need any extra Plates to Balance the BMPCC4k on the Ronin !I used this SmallRig Plate as an addition to make my Balanceing life easyer as this allows me to have 3 Balance Points for the Roll Axis. And i only need to change the SmallRig one, meaning the other 2 can be left as is. Funny story, as it turns out the BMPCC is a thicc boi, so thicc in fact that you will need an USB C Angle Adapter in order to get the Cable in there. And, oh well i am waiting for mine... So keep that in mind when you buy it. When it comes to Lenses, most of you will Probably use Speedboosters meaning the Lenses get longer which is important. Short Lenses might not be able to be Balanced using this Set Up. My Sigma is very Heavy and kinda big so its fine.In General, all Lenses bigger / a bit shorter then this one should work without a Problem. But some of those ultra Short ones wont as the camera cannot be slid forward anymore. If you still want to use one, getting around extra weights is probably not possible. And this, spending more.With the Topic of weight comes the Question of how the Ronin Handels the fairly heavy Camera. Well, the Ronin M can carry quiet a bit more then the current Set Up. Thus, there are no issues during Operation. Its only a bit, "ify" getting into Brief-Case mode as the Ronin seems to just think about the meaning of life once you try to get it into this mode. Sometimes it takes 2 Attemts to get the Ronin into Brief-Case mode. Other times it works fine. So, is it worth it ? I dont know, i havent seen any Footage.... Yet. But from what i can see on the Screen, it looks fine. On a real note, it works and seems to create very good results. I would recommend to buy a used Ronin from ebay as you can get a very "Pro" system for 500€ or 800$. Which is a pretty good deal. I wouldnt recommend buying stuff like the Ronin S or Moza Air 2. Sure they are good, but just for a bit more, you can get even better. So yeah, i hope this helps ! Cheers ! - EDIT 1 So i found a 500 Years old SD Card. Meaning 12:1 Compression and Glorious Full HD. Because everything else would kill the SD after 14.231 Sec. This is the result, pls be aware, this is the first time i tryed using a Ronin. But hey. Some Shots look good. If they were in Focus.... Crash I like those stills from the Video: 1 2 Considering i did this... Today in like 10 Min, its ok... But you can really see the lower Quality of the Compresion together with the bs lighting. If you look at the Video, you can see that the Shutter at 30 was to fast. There was really close to no light. For everybody here that considers buying this Set Up, or a similar one for that Matter.... Read this. First things first, it makes a lot of Fun using this Set Up. You feel free since you dont need any Tripod or Rail. You can just be like "Oh i think this move would look cool" and do it. No time consuming building or relocating of Components. Its quiet honestly, Run´n Gun. I was really suprised how stable the Footage is. In the Video it may look a bit "jittery" which is duo to the incressed clip speed. Some of those Clips are at 1000% normal speed ! This is what i looks in Normal Speed: Crash2 I do need the change some settings on the Ronin, its not always as smooth as i want it to be. (Deadband settings). But lets talk about the Problems. The Main ones are:
That damn Focus Things like Focus Assist help a lot since you cannot always perfectly see what you want to FIlm. As the Ronin is in the Way. But thats not to bad. The Problem is that you are set at one Distance for the duration of the Clip. A Focus Motor would help there a lot. But its not needed.
What is needed, is a Remote Trigger. Buy one. You will thank me later. I found out the hard way. My Shoulder is dead.

Last night was prom night at our school, and the girl I liked asked me to go with her (to which I happily obliged). The plan was for me te come to her house first to have a few drinks, then her mum would bring us to the party and even pick us up. I never really drank before, because I was afraid I would lose control of myself, which in a way did happen. My Tourette's has mostly been on the vocal side, with some minor motor tics like excessive blinking, grimaces, etc. As we got in the car I started to feel the alcohol more, and with it my Tourette's started to act up. It started with closing my eyes for extended amounts of time, but soon I started to make those head movements often most associated with Tourette's (sorry, that's the only way I can describe it). Not even an hour later it was so bad I could barely see (because my eyes were apmost constantly closed) and my head was all over the place. Most of my friends don't know that I have TS, so I had a lot of explaining to do, which was really stressful. I faced a lot of disbelief, accusations and ignorance. The girl I was with knows about my Tourette's luckily, and she was very supportive. She saw I was struggling at the party and offered to go outside for a moment. We got ice cream and went for a little walk. She helped me write up a note on my phone explaining the situation (my hands were shaking so I couldn't type myself) because I was stuttering a lot due to the stress. We went back to the party, and even though it was a lot better, I was still stressed out and ticcing really badly. After about half an hour she asked if I wanted to go home early. I told her she didn't have to do it for me, but she said that she didn't really like the setting anyway, and she'd gladly do it for me as well. On the way home the tics started to decrease. We went back to her place and played card games for a couple hours, which was a lot of fun luckily :) I want to share this story for two reasons: 1) To ask if anyone has had an experience like this? I'm not sure if it was the alcohol, the party, or a combination of both that triggered my Tourette's, but I would really like to know for future reference. 2) To show you that there are still good people out there :) I don't know how I would've handeled the situation without my friend's help.

Ja, de grootste cluster van bedrijven zit op de Zuidas te Amsterdam, maar ik denk niet dat die er in de eerste plaats waren gekomen zonder de grootste haven ter wereld buiten Azië er net onder, in Rotterdam. Amsterdam is de hoofdstad? Kijk Den Haag, daar gebeurt alles. Als de 11 plebvincies om Zuid-Holland heen zouden verdwijnen, kan Zuid-Holland zich makkelijk redden. Andersom wordt dat moeilijker. Maar vanwaar deze Zuid-Hollandiaans afscheiding? Zoals ik net al zei, is Zuid-Holland de economische motor en meest bevolkte provincie van Nederland. Dit geeft het Californië-effect; de inwoners van het grootste en belangrijkste deelgebied zijn tonnen kwijt aan kosten voor de skeere regionen, en hebben individueel minder te zeggen als bepaalde zakenper provincie behandeld worden. In de VS wordt dit pijnlijk duidelijk in de Senaat, waarin een Californiër meer dan 70 keer zo weinig stemgewicht heeft als een Wyominger. Maar kan dat wel, zie ik je denken? Is Zuid-Holland, ondanks dat de rest van Nederland er van af hangt, als onafhankelijk land wel groot genoeg? Zijn die 11 plebprovincies niet nodig als ommeland, waardoor het land groot genoeg is succesvol te zijn? Nou, het is natuurlijk waar dat Zuid-Holland immens klein is, maar dat is Nederland ook. Waar het op neerkomt is het feit dat Zuid-Golland een welvarende regio is met een inwonertal van 3,6 miljoen, wat meer is dan landen als Uruguay en Litouwen. Zijn Uruguay en Litouwen “te klein” als land? Daarnaast zou een onafhankelijk Zuid-Holland in de Europese Unie en Eurozone blijven, waardoor er nog steeds volledig vrije handel en transport blijft bestaan met Nederland en de andere EU-landen. Dus ik zeg, kom op met die ZHexit. Net als de Scotxit, Catalexit, Lombardixit, Bavarexit en Bretonxit, en op naar een Europa van onafhankelijke en economisch krachtige regio’s.

Handel is op eigen risico: check van te voren altijd of iemand betrouwbaar is en of je niet gescamd wordt. Wohl kaum ein Jugendlicher spaltet die Meinung so sehr wie die Freitags-Gretel. Entweder man liebt sie oder man hasst sie. Mehr noch, entweder sie wird gottgleich als Erlöserin eines verdammten, sich bereits im Fegefeuer befindlichen Planeten auf ein Podest gestellt und mit unterwürfigen und verehrenden Kotaus angeboten, oder sie löst Gewaltphantasien und Splatter-Fantasien aus. Woran liegt das? Wahrscheinlich weil viele Menschen instinktiv spüren, dass die ganze Kunstfigur Great inszeniert ist, und sich nicht von einer Halbwüchsigen die noch nichts im Leben erreicht hat aus zu meckern, das Leben erklären lassen wollen. Kinder werden schon immer gerne instrumentalisiert, weil sie den Beschützer- und Elterninstinkt aktivieren, die dem Menschen angeboren ist. Lebewesen beschützen ihre Brut, das wissen auch Werbetreibende. Deswegen sehen wir bei Spenden aufrufen verhärmte, schmutzige, kranke Kinde, wenn es um fair trade geht werden uns hart arbeitende Kinder in gefährlichen Umgebungen gezeigt und auch Rot-Grüne Gutmenschen die sich alleine nicht auf Demos trauen schieben gerne den Kinderwagen vor sich her und tun das Ganze ja nur für ihre Kinder, so ganz selbstlos. Ging es nach ihnen, so hat man den Eindruck, würden sie viel lieber auf der Ikea Couch sitzen, Arte schauen und grünen Tee trinken. Aber für seine Kinder nimmt man es halt auf sich an der Demo teilzunehmen. Dass noch nie ein Kleinkind eine politische Meinung hatte und eine solche gar mit dem Wunsch an einer Demo teilzunehmen kund getan hätte, verschweigen die Wollsockentragenden gerne. Kein Wunder wenn man auf den erneuten künstlich inszenierten Auftritt einer sorgfältigen gecasteten und vorbereiteten Greta allergisch reagiert. Es gibt sein rund 50 Jahren Grüne, Greenpeace und viele anderen Umweltaktivisten. Die stehen gerade nicht im Rampenlicht. Warum? Weil Kinder, noch dazu leicht behinderte, eben zugkräftiger sind, und das ist es was uns fühlen lässt dass wir verascht werden. Verarscht, weil es nicht um die Sache geht und weil man uns so viel Blödheit unterstellt, dies nicht zu bemerken. Ginge es nämlich um die Sache würde man die Arbeit derer würdigen, die in den letzten 50 Jahren den Umweltschutz zu dem gemacht haben, was er heute in Deutschland ist. Aber es geht nicht um die Sache, sondern um Demagogie, darum Emotionen zu schüren, die Bevölkerung zu spalten, von Probleme wie unkontrollierter Einwanderung und Linksruck abzulenken. Als ich selbst im Alter von Freitags-Gretel war, kannten wir nicht das Wort Umweltschutz. Zigarettenkippen wurden einfach weggeworfen, der Wagen wurde samstags im Vorgarten gewaschen und das Öl ins Grundwasser gespült. Recycling kannten wir nicht, statt dessen gigantische Müllkippen. Wir schleppten Glasflaschen und fuhren Autos die 20 Liter auf 100 KM schluckten. Sondermüll kannten wir nur aus der Industrie, das Fett aus der Fritteuse, Batterien wanderten mangels besseren Wissens in den Hausmüll, Öl und Essenreste ins Klo. Dafür brauchten wir keine Plastiktüten sondern hatten Weidenkörbe. Wir fuhren mit dem Fahrrad oder dem Tretrollen, so stinkfaul dass wir auf die Idee gekommen wären uns auf Elektroroller zu stellen und dann auch noch so dummdreist dass wir diese zu Tausenden fahrenden, abends per Diesel-LKW eingesammelten, über Nacht gewartete und morgens per Diesel-LKW wieder verteilten Siliziumbatterieroller als Umweltbewusstsein verkauft hätten, wären wir im Traum nicht gekommen. Wir brauchten auch keine Handys, Computerspiele, Mikrowellen oder 24 Stunden Bespassung mittels Elektronikunterhaltung. Wir haben erkannt dass Umweltschutz wichtig ist. Wir haben das Wegwerfen von Kippen unter Strafe gestellt, verboten Autos außerhalb versiegelter Waschanlagenböden zu waschen, Recycling erfunden, Glasflachen durch PET Flaschen abgelöst, diese dann später mit Pfand belegt, dann Dosenpfand eingeführt, Plastiktaschen geächtet, Aktivkohlefilter erfunden, wieder aufladbare Haushaltsbatterien entwickelt, den Katalysator entwickelt, rußfreie Treibstoff erfunden, Treibstoffe Autos und E-Autos erfunden, autofreie Innenstädte eingeführt, den öffentlichen Nahverkehrt attraktiver gemacht und das Waldsterben umgedreht sodass der deutsche Wald wächst, um 1 % pro Jahr und sich innerhalb von 100 Jahren verdoppelt haben wird. SeaShepheard, BUND – Freunde der Erde (bund.net), Deutsche Umwelthilfe (duh.de), Greenpeace (greenpeace.de), Naturfreundejugend (naturfreundejugend.de), Naturschutzbund (nabu.de), Robin Wood (robinwood.de), WWF (wwf.de) sind Erfindungen meiner Generation, ebenso wie das Umverpackungsgesetzt dass den Handel dazu verpflichtet, Verpackungsmüll zu reduzieren oder dazubehalten. Foodmiles und die Initiativen lokal und saisonal zu kaufen wurden nicht von den heutigen Schülern erfunden sondern von deren Eltern. Aber es war auch meine Generation die das Verbrennen von Gartenabfällen verboten hat, Umwelt freundliches Papier eingeführt und FSC-zertifizierte Produkte eingeführt hat, Holzkohle aus Kokosnussschalen und Weinreben - aber die heutige Jugend trinkt importiertes Bier aus Mexiko und Australien, das mehr Food miles hinter sich hat als der größte Vielflieger, während meine Generation noch wieder befüllbare Flaschen mit Bier zu Fuß aus der Orts-Brauerei geholt hat. Wir hatten auch noch Wandertage in der Schule und keine Klassenfahrten mit dem Kreuzfahrtschiff, Englisch lernten wir in Südengland wo wir mit der Bahn hinfuhren und nicht in New York wo wir hinflogen. Dank des aktiven Umwelttschutzes konnten zahlreiche vom Aussterben bedrohte Tierarten wieder eine Heimat in unseren Gefilden finden – ein Erfolg für die Erhaltung der Artenvielfalt. Die Rückkehr und Ausbreitung von Kranich und Kormoran, Biber und Wolf sind Erfolgsgeschichten. Das vielbeschworene Ozonloch, wo ist es? Geschlossen – weil wir FCKW abgeschafft haben und schon von der Bedeutung des Umweltschutzes wissen bevor Greta überhaupt gezeugt wurde. Rauchgasentschwefelungsanlagen wurden von meiner Generation eingeführt, nicht von Greta. Die Novelle des Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelgesetzes regelt den biologischen Abbau von Tensiden neu und gibt die Kennzeichnung und Meldung von Angaben zur Umweltverträglichkeit vor. Durch die Änderung des Benzinbleigesetzes wird bleihaltiges Normalbenzin im Dezember 1987 verboten. Die Abgasgrenzwerte für Pkw werden je nach Hubraumklasse um 30 bis 70 Prozent verschärft. Mit dem Basler Übereinkommen werden weltweit ein umweltgerechtes Management und die Kontrolle grenzüberschreitender Transporte von gefährlichen Abfällen angestrebt. Es wurde im März 1989 angenommen und trat im Mai 1992 in Kraft. In Kondensatoren enthaltene Polychlorierte Biphenylen (PCB) dürfen nicht mehr hergestellt oder verwendet werden. Sie waren eine der Hauptquellen für hochgiftige Dioxine, die in die Umwelt gelangten. Die Herstellung und Verwendung von Pentachlorphenol (PCP) wird verboten. Das Antipilzmittel, das in Holzschutzmitteln vorkommt oder zum Schutz von Leder- und Textilwaren eingesetzt wird, war eine weitere Quelle für hochgiftige Dioxine, die die Umwelt belasteten. Die Verklappung von Dünnsäure aus der Titandioxid-Produktion wird durch eine EG-Richtlinie verboten. Die Richtlinie fordert die Einsetzung des Chlorid Verfahrens als weniger umweltschädliche Technologie für die Titandioxid-Produktion. Bereits im Laufe des Jahres erreicht der Bundesumweltminister, dass die Dünnsäure aus deutschen Produktionsanlagen vollständig aufgearbeitet und die Verklappung im Meer vorzeitig eingestellt wird. Die Bundesregierung will die CO2-Emissionen Deutschlands von 1990 bis 2005 um 25 Prozent reduzieren. Das erste deutsche Gentechnikgesetz tritt in Kraft. Es soll unter Berücksichtigung ethischer Werte, des Lebens und der Gesundheit von Menschen die Umwelt sowie Tiere, Pflanzen und Sachgüter vor schädlichen Auswirkungen gentechnischer Verfahren und Produkte schützen und Vorsorge gegen das Entstehen solcher Gefahren treffen. Nach dem neuen Gesetz über die Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung müssen umweltrelevante Vorhaben frühzeitig und umfassend auf ihre Verträglichkeit hin untersucht werden. Dazu gehören Kraftwerke, größere Chemieanlagen, Abfallentsorgungsanlagen, Flugplätze, Bundesbahnstrecken, Autobahnen und Bundesstraßen sowie Anlagen der Massentierhaltung. Verordnung zur Begrenzung der Emissionen aus Abfallverbrennungsanlagen legt weltweit erstmals strenge Emissionsgrenzwerte für Dioxine und Furane fest. Obwohl neue Techniken zur Emissionsminderung entwickelt werden müssen, sind innerhalb von fünf Jahren alle deutschen Müllverbrennungsanlagen entsprechend ausgerüstet. Der Ausstoß an Dioxinen und Furanen konnte um 99 Prozent verringert werden. Das Stromeinspeisungsgesetz (StrEG) tritt in Kraft. Es war das zentrale Gesetz zum Ausbau erneuerbarer Energien in den neunziger Jahren mit der damaligen Vorrang- und Vergütungsregelung für "grünen Strom". Die Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt in Osnabrück nimmt ihre Arbeit auf. Ihr Hauptziel ist es, innovative Modellprojekte in den Bereichen Umwelttechnik, Umweltforschung und Umweltkommunikation zu fördern. Das Startkapital für die Stiftung stammt aus der Privatisierung der ehemals bundeseigenen Salzgitter AG. Die FCKW-Halon-Verbots-Verordnung tritt in Kraft. Sie verbietet Fluorkohlenwasserstoffen (FCKW) in allen wesentlichen Produktbereichen ab spätestens Ende 1994. Mit dieser Verordnung dokumentiert Deutschland seine weltweite Führungsrolle beim Ausstieg aus den die Ozonschicht schädigenden Stoffen. Mit der Verordnung über die Vermeidung und Verwertung von Verpackungsabfällen wird die Verantwortung für die Sammlung und Entsorgung der großen Menge der Verpackungen den Produzenten übertragen. Wertvolle sekundäre Rohstoffe wie Weißblech, Aluminium, Kunststoff, Papier und Pappe sowie Glas werden zunehmend der Verwertung zugeführt. Bundesrat stimmt dem Gesetz für den Betriebsschluss der Sowjetisch-Deutschen Wismut AG zu. Es sieht unter anderem eine geordnete Stilllegung der Bergbaubetriebe und eine zügige Sanierung und Rekultivierung der Bergbaualtlasten vor. Das Helsinki-Übereinkommen über den Schutz der Meeresumwelt des Ostseegebiets von 1974 wird neu gefasst. Die Ostsee soll ökologisch wiederhergestellt werden. Deutschland unterzeichnet das Abkommen ASCOBANS zur Erhaltung der Kleinwale in Nord- und Ostsee. Die etwa eineinhalb Meter langen Schweinswale sind unter anderem durch Stellnetze gefährdet. Auf dem Weltwirtschaftsgipfel in München wird ein Abkommen zum Sicherheitszustand von Atomkraftwerken sowjetischer Bauart in Mittel- und Osteuropa verabschiedet. Ziele des vom Bundesumweltministerium vorbereiteten Abkommens sind eine sicherere Betriebsführung und bessere staatliche Kontrolle. Alle Anlagen, die technisch verbessert werden können, sollen nachgerüstet werden. Neue Klärschlammverordnung beschränkt den Gehalt an organischen Schadstoffen und Schwermetallen, der bei dieser Düngung in den Boden eingebracht werden darf. Die EG-Richtlinie 91/441/EWG verschärft in allen Staaten der Europäischen Gemeinschaft (EG) die Abgasgrenzwerte für PKW (Euro 1 und folgende). Damit wird für alle PKW mit Otto-Motor der Einsatz des geregelten Katalysators erforderlich. Dieselmotoren unterliegen den gleichen Grenzwerten. Sie können diese jedoch ohne eine Nachbehandlung des Abgases einhalten. Das Bundesamt für Naturschutz (BfN) wird in Bonn als selbstständige Bundesoberbehörde im Geschäftsbereich des Bundesumweltministeriums eingerichtet. Die Verordnung über Immissionswerte für Schadstoffe in der Luft (22. BImSchV) legt insbesondere fest, welche Luftqualitätsgrenzwerte, Zielwerte und Alarmschwellen eingehalten werden müssen. Dadurch wird die Gesundheitsbelastung der Bevölkerung durch Luftschadstoffe erheblich reduziert. Das Übereinkommen über die Verhütung der Meeresverschmutzung durch Einbringen von Abfällen und anderen Stoffen (London-Übereinkommen) wird geändert: Ein unbefristetes Verbot, radioaktive Abfälle im Meer zu versenken, ersetzt das bislang geltende freiwillige Moratorium. Der Vertrag über die Europäische Union von Maastricht tritt in Kraft. Er enthält den zentralen umweltpolitischen Handlungsgrundsatz des Vorsorgeprinzips. Bundesumweltminister Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer nimmt das "Integrierte Mess- und Informationssystems zur Überwachung der Umweltradioaktivität (IMIS)" mit 2000 Messstationen des Bundes sowie 48 Messstellen der Länder in Betrieb. IMIS gewährleistet eine ständige lückenlose und flächendeckende Überwachung der Umweltradioaktivität und ermöglicht eine Frühwarnung. Die 1992 auf dem Umweltgipfel von Rio beschlossene Klimarahmenkonvention tritt in Kraft und schafft die völkerrechtlich verbindliche Grundlage für den globalen Klimaschutz. Herablassend, arrogant, altklug, aggressiv, weinerlich, ignorant und unsympathisch ist diese Kunstfigur der Umweltlobbymedienindustrie. Und das von einer Generation die schon statt Wandertag im Wald Schulfahrten mit Kreuzfahrtschiff und Flugzeug unternimmt, alle 6 Monate eine neues, mit Lithiumbatterien betrieben Smartphone braucht, PC, Notebook, Tablet und Netflix konsumiert und 24 Stunden am Tag Strom zieht, statt Fahrrad zu fahren mit Lithiumbatterien-E-Rollern durch die Gegen kurvt, und sich von Daddy bis ins Klassenzimmer fahren lässt. Kein Wunder dass die halbe Bevölkerung im Strahl Brocken kotzt. How dare you, Greta, die Du noch nie auch nur einen Tag gearbeitet hast, die Du nie etwas Konkretes für die Umwelt erreicht hast, im Gegensatz zu den Generationen vor Dir, Dich zum Moralapostel auszuspielen? Aber das dürfte Gretel egal sein. Die ist bereits jetzt längst eine im Voraus gemachte Karriereaktivistin. Gesponsert von Lobbyisten, diverse Buchverträge schon in der Tasche, Angebote als Gallionsfigur von Umweltorganisationen auf dem Flötotto Schreibtisch, Fernsehsenden denken über eine Verfilmung, eine Dokureihe und eine vorabendliche Umwelt-Quiz Show nach, und es dürfte nur eine Frage der Zeit sein bis „Greta, das Musical“ in die Theater kommt. Wer’s nicht glaubt möge diesen Artikel aufheben und in 20 Jahren wieder hervorholen. Wer ist diese Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg? Das Schweizer Magazin Weltwoche veröffentlichte einen online viel geteilten Artikel mit dem Titel “wir basteln uns eine Klima-Ikone“. Darin geht es u.a. darum, dass “ihr Erfolg weitgehend dem schwedischen PR-Experten Ingmar Rentzhog zu verdanken ist, der über gute Kontakte zu mehreren Propagandaorganisationen verfügt”. Als Indizien führt die Weltwoche auf, dass kurz nachdem Greta ihre Schulstreiks begann, ihre Mutter, eine recht bekannte Opernsängerin, ihr Buch veröffentlichte. Am Tag der Buchveröffentlichung habe der PR-Mann Rentzhog auf Instagram ein Foto der streikenden Greta veröffentlicht und einen Artikel über sie bei Facebook veröffentlicht. Dies habe dann eine “Kettenreaktion” in den Medien ausgelöst. Außerdem habe Greta Thunberg ihre Rede beim UN-Gipfel vor fast leeren Rängen gehalten, während das öffentlich-rechtliche schwedische Fernsehen die Bilder so montiert habe, dass der falsche Eindruck entstanden sei, sie hätte vor einem großen Publikum gesprochen. Rentzhog ist in Schweden kein Unbekannter, er verkaufte seine Firma für Finanzkommunikation und gründete die Plattform “we don't have time“, die sich für einen radikalen Wandel in der Klimapolitik einsetzen will und auch Spendengelder sammelt. Ein Schuft wer Schlimmes dabei denkt. Rentzhog erwiderte, dass er Greta geholfen habe, sei nie geheim gewesen. Auch habe er nichts von der Buchvorstellung von Gretas Mutter gewusst. Er erklärt allerdings auch, dass er mit Hilfe seiner Plattform “We don’t have time” die “Weltmedien” dazu gebracht habe, über Greta und ihr Engagement zu berichten. Das Boot, das Greta für ihren Atlantik-Trip nutzt, scheint einem ominösen Immobilienmillionär aus Stuttgart gehören. Er ist anscheinend nicht der einzige fragwürdige Unterstützer der jungen Schwedin. Auf einem Fototermin im Braunkohle-Revier Hambacher Forst hat sie sich mit einer vermummten Aktivistin - der Verfassungsschutz stuft die gewaltbereite Szene als linksextremistisch ein - fotografieren lassen und einige Kritik dafür einstecken müssen. In einem gemeinsamen Brief an Investoren schreiben Rentzhog und Nordvall: "Seit wir vor 18 Monaten gestartet sind, haben wir daran gearbeitet, das soziale Netzwerk auszubauen, Investoren anzuziehen und wichtige Klimawandel-Initiativen und junge Klima-Helden wie Greta Thunberg in Szene zu setzen." Und weiter, in erstaunlicher Offenheit: "Die Aufgabe des Unternehmens ist es, Gewinne zu erzielen, Werbeeinnahmen inbegriffen … es gibt keinen Interessenkonflikt zwischen Klimaschutz und Geldmachen." Man habe in kurzer Zeit bereits 23 Millionen schwedische Kronen von mehr als 500 Investoren aus 16 Ländern eingenommen. In dieser Woche wird mit den Greta-Bildern der Atlantikfahrt wohl einiges hinzukommen. Auch die Segeljachtfahrt wird vielfach kritisch kommentiert, weil es sich um eine der teuersten Rennjachten der Welt handelt, weil ihr „Team Malizia“ aus Monaco stammt und also aus einem Steuerparadies, weil das Schiff einem ominösen Stuttgarter Immobilienmillionär gehört. Kommerzielles Ziel der Rentzhog-Kampagne ist es von Anfang an, über die Klima-Ikone Greta die Aktiengesellschaft „We don’t have time“ zu einer grünen Massen-Plattform auszubauen. Erste Investoren-Runden werden anberaumt und Finanzprospekte geschrieben, um Aktienkapital zeichnen zu lassen. In einem Börsenbriefing heißt es: „uner Vorbild ist Tripadvisor.com, das mit seinen 390 Millionen Usern Unternehmen bewertet und beeinflusst.“ Ende November nimmt Greta Thunberg sogar offiziell einen Platz als Beraterin im Vorstand der Stiftung Rentzhogs ein. Beim Klimagipfel in Kattowitz im Dezember 2018 reiste sie wie auf einer Road Show mit den „We don’t have time“-Managern an und stellte das Projekt vor. Insgesamt seien von 500 Investoren aus 16 Ländern 23 Millionen Schwedische Kronen (2,1 Millionen Euro) Kapital in die Firma geflossen. Das Unternehmen, das am 22. April 2019 ein soziales Netzwerk und eine Art digitale Protestbewegung startete, will Druck auf "Regierungen" und "Unternehmen" ausüben, sich an das Pariser Abkommen zu halten. Ganz klar ist es nicht, wie genau die erworbenen Millionen eingesetzt werden. Ich erlebe das hoffentlich nicht mehr. Ich habe dann hoffentlich irgendwo ein Fleckchen Erde gefunden wo es keine Umweltdarsteller gibt und die übriggebliebene heile Landschaft noch von Horden eingewanderter Asylanten versaut wird, die – so zeigen uns ja die Fernsehbilder aus gettoisierten Straßen und Wohnungen, eher leben wie im Saustall und denen deutsche Erde scheißegal ist. Aber dafür werden zukünftige Generationen von Rot-Grünen Gutmenschen dann ja die passende Ausreden haben: „der Planet lag damals am Boden, wir wären fast ausgestorben, wir mussten uns um die Rettung der ganzen Menschheit kümmern“.
